The Gibson Guitar Corporation, of Nashville, Tennessee, USA, is a manufacturer of acoustic and electric guitars. Gibson also owns and makes guitars under such brands as Epiphone, Kramer, Valley Arts, Tobias, Steinberger, and Kalamazoo. In addition to guitars, the company makes pianos through its Baldwin unit, Slingerland drums, as well as many accessory items. Company founder Orville Gibson made mandolins in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in the late 1890s. He invented archtop guitars by using the same type of carved, arched tops found on violins. By the 1930s, the company was also making flattop acoustic guitars, as well as the first commercially available hollow-body electric guitars, which were used and popularized by Charlie Christian. In the early 1950s, Gibson introduced its first solid-body electric guitar and its most popular guitar to date—the Les Paul. After being bought by the Norlin corporation in the late 1960s Gibson’s quality and fortunes took a steep decline until early 1986, when the company was rescued by its present owners. Gibson Guitar is a privately held corporation (company stock is not publicly traded on a stock exchange), owned by chief executive officer Henry Juszkiewicz and president David H. (Dave) Berryman.
An exceptional and rare limited edition scheduled for the end of 2020, and based on the Flying V that Gibson specially built for Jimi Hendrix in 1969, and that he only had in 1970, a few weeks before his death. The original guitar, serial number 849476, was played at the famous Isle of Whight...
Wow, we've been waiting for this one... Almost 2 years of waiting... Ordered as soon as the Murphy Lab announced that it was starting some small batches of guitars, and this instrument arrived in June 2022, but the wait was worth it really worth it!! What a guitar!!! Everything is grat on this...
Splendid condition for this superb Gibson Trini Lopez from 1967!! This little gem has a red finish that is still perfectly bright and is in exceptional condition, with an excellent neck profile, quite round, type C, and which has a nut width of 40.2mm. These instruments were my favs since the...
A real workhorse, this 1952 Gibson L4... Well, that this instrument is to guitars what Arnold von Winkerlied was to the Waldstätten, the guy who takes the blows for others... So yes, this brave and proud Gibson was beten up but ended up with only a centerseam split under the trapeze and one...
To be exact, I should have written "ex Earl Vogelsong and ex Joe Bonamassa"... But hey, to be perfectly exact I should have written " Rhââââââ Lovely !!!!!!" So, Earl Vogelsong? Not necessarily the best known of Tennessee's pro musicians, but he had a carreer. Earl was born in 1924, and has...
Where do you start with a guitar like this? There is perhaps no Gibson Archtop more distinct and interesting than the Barney Kessel, introduced in 1961, and this guitar, although sharing much with L5s and other Johnny Smiths, is often overlooked. The Kessel is a superb Archtop, with a trapeze...
Here is a splendid and rare Gibson Les Paul Custom 20th Anniversary from 1974 in very good condition. This series commemorated the 20th anniversary of the production of the Les Paul Custom and is the very first anniversary series of the Gibson brand, obviously a Benchmark given the number of...
A very nice ES 335 Dot Reissue from 1990 in Natural Finish and in perfect condition, which given its age has hardly been played. Almost no playwear, no damage, no dents, it's just crazy to see such guitars in such condition. In the end, only the traces of a guitar stand, on the lower edge and on...
Steve Howe has collaborated and recorded with Paul Sutin on numerous projects and several albums, and during one of his visits to the Dinemec studio, Steve Howe gave Paul one of his ES-175s from the ES-175 Steve Howe production signature. This superb and rare guitar therefore belonged to Steve...
The most referential Les Paul of Slash's career is not a Gibson, and it took until 2010 for the famous American company to produce a copy of the iconic instrument built by luthier Kris Derrig. Indeed, the superb Les Paul played by Slash during the Appetite for Destruction period is not a Gibson...
Definitely not easy to make a short description of what this unique instrument really is... It started as a Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Junior in 2010. Then in 2012, its first owner sent it to Mary Robison, who since the 70s has created and modified many of Ace Frehley's guitars. Mary and her...

Here's a great looking SG Standard VOS in as new condition. Neck and frets are as new as this guitar was part of a big collection and probably never played, or so barely that it looks like in new condition... Like all VOS (Vintage Original Spec) Series instruments, the SG Standard VOS is...
Here's a great looking guitar, and as these ones were not sought after during the nineties and barely sold back then... And the Foo Fighters showed up with their modified 335 with Firebird neck, and everything changed... Trini Lopez's famous guitar was back on the tracks and now is one of the...
Gibson's Swiss representative brought us this instrument at the end of March 2022 and after picking up our jaws, we obviously acquired this beauty. The pics on the website are not the ones from our splendid guitar, you can have a glimpse of it on our Instagram account. This GIBSON ES-335...
The Gibson ES-339 is loved by players who need semi-hollow tone but don’t want a guitar with too much bulk. Built as a smaller version of the ES-335, the ES-339 has the same semi-hollow tone and sustain in a smaller package. Made with a 3-ply maple and poplar laminate body, this guitar...
A little gem we have here, barely played and showing no sign of use, almost in as new condition (yes, yes, really, not a single dent or anything in fact...). The American Gibson factory in Montana has not always been at its best, but lately there have been some great things going on, and this...
