The Gibson Guitar Corporation, of Nashville, Tennessee, USA, is a manufacturer of acoustic and electric guitars. Gibson also owns and makes guitars under such brands as Epiphone, Kramer, Valley Arts, Tobias, Steinberger, and Kalamazoo. In addition to guitars, the company makes pianos through its Baldwin unit, Slingerland drums, as well as many accessory items. Company founder Orville Gibson made mandolins in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in the late 1890s. He invented archtop guitars by using the same type of carved, arched tops found on violins. By the 1930s, the company was also making flattop acoustic guitars, as well as the first commercially available hollow-body electric guitars, which were used and popularized by Charlie Christian. In the early 1950s, Gibson introduced its first solid-body electric guitar and its most popular guitar to date—the Les Paul. After being bought by the Norlin corporation in the late 1960s Gibson’s quality and fortunes took a steep decline until early 1986, when the company was rescued by its present owners. Gibson Guitar is a privately held corporation (company stock is not publicly traded on a stock exchange), owned by chief executive officer Henry Juszkiewicz and president David H. (Dave) Berryman.
To be exact, I should have written "ex Earl Vogelsong and ex Joe Bonamassa"... But hey, to be perfectly exact I should have written " Rhââââââ Lovely !!!!!!" So, Earl Vogelsong? Not necessarily the best known of Tennessee's pro musicians, but he had a carreer. Earl was born in 1924, and has...
Here's a great looking SG Standard VOS in as new condition. Neck and frets are as new as this guitar was part of a big collection and probably never played, or so barely that it looks like in new condition... Like all VOS (Vintage Original Spec) Series instruments, the SG Standard VOS is...
This is a superb and unusual instrument, unusual original finish, a super dark walnut which makes it appear black depending on the light, and with the Charlie Christian pickup. So yes, purists will say that Gibson, in the 70s, produced the worst, but despite the mediocre reputation of those years,...
Awesome one, really !!! The True historic program, presented in 2014 and produced between the end of 2014 and 2017, offered, in my opinion, the best Gibsons that the American brand had produced since 1960... And Edwin Wilson, the program manager of the True Historic at the Gibson factory, will...
Steve Howe has collaborated and recorded with Paul Sutin on numerous projects and several albums, and during one of his visits to the Dinemec studio, Steve Howe gave Paul one of his ES-175s from the ES-175 Steve Howe production signature. This superb and rare guitar therefore belonged to Steve...
Leadmusic had quite a few Les Pauls from the 70s, mostly Custom ones, and here is one of the nicest late 70s Standard we've had. Yes, this superb 1978 Les Paul Standard is the kind of instrument after which we run. This guitar is in good to very good condition, with a one-piece mahogany body,...
This beauty is over 30 years old but is in excellent condition with minor playwear, light surface scratches and a few dents here and there. This superb 1991 Gibson SG Reissue 61 is an excellent gutiar with frets and neck in perfect condition, super playing comfort, low and easy action. The...
This second hand 2013 Les Paul Tribute 60's is in very good condition, with minor finish flaws, some light dents and scratches and some very light and small dent with apparent wood on the side. Frets are in excellent condition. Comes with a gigbag. In honor of the decade that gave birth to...
Here's a very rare All Gold version of these early Les Paul Gold Stop. And our instrument is even rarer as it has a superb playing comfort and tone, definitely without a doubt the best old Les Paul we have ever played. Completely original with no change, modification, break or repair, this Gibson...
A real workhorse, this 1952 Gibson L4... Well, that this instrument is to guitars what Arnold von Winkerlied was to the Waldstätten, the guy who takes the blows for others... So yes, this brave and proud Gibson was beten up but ended up with only a centerseam split under the trapeze and one...
Splendid condition for this superb Gibson Trini Lopez from 1967!! This little gem has a red finish that is still perfectly bright and is in exceptional condition, with an excellent neck profile, quite round, type C, and which has a nut width of 40.2mm. These instruments were my favs since the...
The most referential Les Paul of Slash's career is not a Gibson, and it took until 2010 for the famous American company to produce a copy of the iconic instrument built by luthier Kris Derrig. Indeed, the superb Les Paul played by Slash during the Appetite for Destruction period is not a Gibson...
Damn, I can't believe I'm selling a Les Paul Aged & Signed Skinner Burst... I bet on other instruments at the Skinner's sale in 2006, and stayed on the phone listening to the bidding rise when the original Les Paul from 1959 with the serial number 9-1951 reached $ 292,000 ... It was Joe...
Exceptional instrument, certainly rare an unusual, but above all, this superbe Gibson Murphy Painted Les Paul R9 1959 Reissue is an exceptional Les Paul! This is a fantastic and rare Gibson Murphy Painted Les Paul R9 1959 Reissue which benefited from Tom Murphy finishes and was part of a batch of...
Definitely not easy to make a short description of what this unique instrument really is... It started as a Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Junior in 2010. Then in 2012, its first owner sent it to Mary Robison, who since the 70s has created and modified many of Ace Frehley's guitars. Mary and her...
Here is a guitar that proves again what I have been thinking for a few years, the Historic Selects and the instruments made by Gibson in their True historic program, presented in 2014 and produced between the end of 2014 and 2017, are the best Gibsons that the American brand has produced since...
Here we have a great looking guitar, and a rare one as only 250 pieces were built worldwide and 2 were sent to the swiss distribution, who kept one for his private collection... The Slash Les Paul Standard Limited 4 Album Edition was created to commemorate Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The...
Well, there are from time to time guitars that seem to have nothing special, a Goldtop... Well not exactly just a Goldtop, as this guitar is a killer guitar, with only 3.6 kilos, it set a record, and it definitely has a crazy sound thanks to this featherweight. The tone is superb, precise, open,...
Here is a splendid and rare Gibson Les Paul Custom 20th Anniversary from 1974 in very good condition. This series commemorated the 20th anniversary of the production of the Les Paul Custom and is the very first anniversary series of the Gibson brand, obviously a Benchmark given the number of...

Only a handful of these Vermillion Burst showed up in Switzerland in late 2020 and this one was the last the swiss distribution had and sold to us in August 2022. Gibson and Slash are proud to present the Slash Collection Gibson Les Paul™ Standard. Our guitar...

Immortalized by Santana at Woodstock and smashed onstage by Townshend, the Gibson SG is a rock icon. Gibson’s Nashville-made 2019 SG Standard ’61 takes you back to the first model year of the legendary solidbody electric guitar — small pickguard, vintage cherry finish, and all. This pretty...

Here's a great looking guitar, and as these ones were not sought after during the nineties and barely sold back then... And the Foo Fighters showed up with their modified 335 with Firebird neck, and everything changed... Trini Lopez's famous guitar was back on the tracks and now is one of the...
Gibson's Swiss representative brought us this instrument at the end of March 2022 and after picking up our jaws, we obviously acquired this beauty. The pics on the website are not the ones from our splendid guitar, you can have a glimpse of it on our Instagram account. This GIBSON ES-335...
