Conceived as a rare instrument intended for both collectors and demanding musicians, it embodies Taylor’s acoustic craftsmanship in a particularly refined form.

This custom Builder’s Edition model features a dark, vintage inspired aesthetic that perfectly reflects its warm and organic tonal character. Mahogany back and sides are paired with a striped Western Red cedar top in a Grand Auditorium body shape. The woody, dry midrange of mahogany blends beautifully with the enveloping warmth of cedar, its quick response and rich overtones making it especially suited for fingerstyle players and lighter playing dynamics. The internal V Class bracing ensures the tonal balance and even response that define Builder’s Collection guitars.

The forward shifted design includes chamfered body edges as well as a beveled armrest and cutaway, providing a smoother and more ergonomic playing experience. A hand applied shaded edgeburst finish enhances the subtle amber hue of the cedar top, while the headstock evokes an earlier era in Taylor Guitars’ history with a distinctive inlay that was a hallmark of the 900 Series guitars produced between 2001 and 2010.

This decorative accent is complemented by other iridescent mother of pearl details, including a single ring rosette and Large Engraved Diamonds fretboard inlays.
