This special version of his signature KH-2 model is directly inspired by one of Kirk’s personal guitars — the very one that rocked studio sessions and world tours during Metallica’s most legendary albums.

The Vintage Distressed look is recreated with incredible realism: worn paint with chips and dings, an ultra-fast neck, the legendary “CAUTION HOT” sticker, and even the iconic “KIRK’S GUITAR” label. All meticulously hand-crafted by the master luthiers at ESP’s Custom Shop in Japan.

But the KH-2 Vintage isn’t just about killer looks — it’s a full-on shred machine: alder body, neck-thru maple construction with an extra-thin U profile, rosewood fretboard with 24 extra-jumbo frets, and Kirk’s signature Skull & Bones inlays. High-end hardware all around: Gotoh tuners, Floyd Rose Original bridge, and a set of EMG active pickups — 60A at the neck and 81 at the bridge — just like Kirk’s own setup. Finished in black, it comes with a premium hard case and an ESP Certificate of Authenticity (facsimile signature).
