Beauty, wonder, sheer magnificence… you know the kind. This Taylor 2026 Catch Custom #2 C24ce was one of the most breathtaking masterpieces unveiled by the brand at the NAMM Show 2026. Taylor’s iconic Grand Auditorium body shape, featuring a Venetian cutaway and scalloped V-Class bracing, delivers the perfect balance of playing comfort, projection, and rich tonal dynamics. Wrapped in a dark and elegant Shaded Edgeburst finish, the koa top of the 2026 Catch Custom #2 C24ce enhances the premium character of this 6-string with gorgeous natural figuring and a bright, punchy voice. The 4-piece Indian rosewood back, paired with a figured koa Simons wedge, adds deep bass response and rich harmonic resonance.
Equipped with Taylor’s proprietary Action Control neck joint system, the neotropical mahogany neck and Crelicam ebony fingerboard provide an exceptional feeling of control from the very first notes. On stage as well as in the studio, the 2026 Catch Custom #2 C24ce also stands out thanks to Taylor’s premium Claria System electronics, ensuring an incredibly faithful and natural reproduction of the instrument’s sound.
This guitar is also loaded with refined details from headstock to bridge: figured koa accents adorn the headstock logo, backstrap, tuner buttons, and the body and fingerboard purfling. The whole package is completed by a comfortable beveled armrest, bone bridge pins with Australian green opal inlays, a highly variegated unmarked ebony fingerboard, an ebony headstock veneer, and a rosewood/koa Roman Leaf rosette.
This Taylor 2026 Catch Custom #2 C24ce features a stunning figured Hawaiian koa top paired with a magnificent Indian rosewood back and sides. As a tonewood, koa is renowned for its bright and lively tonal response. And beyond its sound, koa is also one of the most visually striking woods commonly used on 6-string guitars, a reputation this C24ce fully lives up to with its rich red and brown hues crossed by dramatic black grain lines. While koa tops are usually paired with koa back and sides, this Catch Custom breaks tradition with its gorgeous 4-piece Indian rosewood back. Beyond its remarkable aesthetics, tonewood enthusiasts especially appreciate how the rosewood complements the focused nature of koa with complex harmonics, deep lows, and crisp, articulate highs.
Built in Taylor’s Grand Auditorium cutaway shape, the brand’s most versatile and popular format, the 2026 Catch Custom #2 C24ce offers comfortable, all-purpose playability supported by full-bodied lows, rich mids, and sparkling trebles. Inside, Taylor’s exclusive scalloped V-Class bracing ensures powerful projection, remarkable intonation, and exceptional sustain, showcasing every tonal nuance of this Catch Custom with studio-grade precision.
