Information:

The PowerValve 200 is a compact 200-watt power amplifier featuring Victory’s renowned valve technology. Designed to unlock truly authentic live tone, it offers digital users the missing link between modern modelling and the unmistakable feel of a real valve amp.

The growing popularity of digital gear has allowed guitarists to significantly reduce the size of their rigs while gaining instant access to a vast range of tones. Yet, even the most advanced digital systems still miss two essential elements: the organic feel of a valve amplifier and its natural interaction with a real speaker cabinet in a live environment.

The rise of FRFR speaker cabinets proves that many players prioritize convenience over authenticity. With the PowerValve 200, however, we believe we’ve finally bridged the gap between the digital and analogue worlds. Our goal was simple: create the ultimate companion for modeller, preamp and pedalboard users, enabling them to add the rich valve tone Victory is famous for — and once again drive a real guitar cabinet.

Using the PowerValve 200 couldn’t be simpler. Connect the output of your modeller, preamp or pedalboard via a 1/4” jack cable to the balanced input of the PowerValve. Adjust your input level and EQ, engage the valve signal path, and connect your favorite guitar speaker cabinet. Instantly experience your guitar tone the way it was meant to be heard — powerful, dynamic and alive.

At the heart of the PowerValve 200 lies the VRC (Valve React Circuit), which activates an EF91 (CV4014) valve. This feature instantly enriches your sound with greater warmth, depth, harmonic richness and touch sensitivity. While this valve circuit is our recommended mode of operation, it can also be bypassed via the front-panel switch for players who prefer a more linear, transistor-based signal path.

The front panel offers a straightforward 3-band EQ (Resonance, Body, Presence) for precise tone shaping. The detented controls allow quick return to the neutral position — when set halfway, the EQ is effectively bypassed.

A balanced input ensures the balanced output of your modeller can be fully utilized. An input level control combined with an LED indicator provides precise monitoring and optimal signal management.

The main speaker output supports 4Ω (200W), 8Ω (100W), and 16Ω (50W) cabinets. The unit also features a dedicated 3.5mm headphone output and an analogue Cab Sim via XLR, making it perfect for recording or sending directly to a mixing desk. The Cab Sim can be switched on or off from the front panel, and the headphone level can be adjusted independently from the main output.

Extensive testing was carried out using a range of modellers paired with several speaker cabinets from our own catalogue. We then compared the results against leading FRFR cabinets. The difference was clear: the PowerValve 200 delivers the rich harmonics, dynamic response, and natural feedback that are often missing from modern digital setups.

While it will power any of our speaker cabinets, we particularly recommend pairing it with the Victory Lunchbox Speaker Cabinet Series, whose compact size and performance make it the perfect partner for the PowerValve 200.

Designed to integrate perfectly with modern rigs, the PowerValve 200 measures 130mm x 300mm x 295mm, weighs just 2.4 kg, and is housed in durable, road-ready zinc-plated mild steel.
