They are often surprising at Gibson, because such a pretty maple, such a pretty top, could well have ended up on a more high-end instrument. Here is a superb Les Paul Standard 50’s Faded from 2010, in excellent condition, with a monstrous top. The fade-free Honey Burst finish is absolutely stunning. And this finish reveals the flames and patterns of the maple, which could very well have been found on a Custom Shop, with very large and fat flames. One of the best tops we’ve seen on these Faded.
This instrument is lightweight because the solid mahogany body is hollowed out. This Chambered body feature is really great on these instruments. and in perfect condition, frets like new, very light marks on the back, small inlays, and very light playwear here and there, but the condition is excellent. The beauty is delivered with its original trunk.
