The Duff McKagan Deluxe Precision Bass is based on the 1980s Jazz Bass Special that the artist used to record Appetite for Destruction. This bass is an evolution of his signature model and includes new features designed for playability as well as stylistic elements requested by Duff himself. Alder is a classic tonewood that Fender uses for many of its instrument bodies, producing a warm sound with clear highs and a dynamic attack. The bound rosewood fingerboard features pearloid block inlays, adding a touch of elegance to this bass.
This bass combines a split-coil Precision Bass pickup in the neck position with a single-coil Jazz Bass® pickup in the bridge position, offering great tonal versatility. Simply flip a lever to instantly and precisely change the tuning of the low E string on your bass. Elegant and understated, the black chrome hardware is durable and gives the instrument a very cool rock aesthetic. The TBX (Treble Bass Expander) control works like a standard tone control up to position 6. Beyond that point, the resistance decreases, boosting the bass, treble, and overall presence.
This pre-owned instrument is in like-new condition, with no visible signs of play or wear, no marks, and no defects whatsoever. It comes with its original gig bag.
