What an incredible guitar !!! This model, which has already been produced in very small batch in 2018 and 2020, is definitely a marvel. Thus this edition presented during the Custom Shop Dealer Event of 2023 and which reaches us in mid-May 2024, named Limited 50’s Double Esquire, incorporates almost all the specifications of the first guitars manufactured by Fender in 1950, the Esquire, with the neck pickup, hence its  name Double Esquire. But that’s not all, obviously, because this instrument has many other great features.

This Custom Shop Limited Edition 50’s Double Esquire is killer, light, 2.98 kilos, resonant, super comfortable and ergonomic despite its basic Telecaster cut. It’s an Esquire to which a neck pickup has been added, but that’s obviously not all. The body is Selected Ash, super light and resonant, crazy. A Relic nitro finish on both the neck and the body, a great look that obviously won’t be confused with another Custom Shop production. The neck has a compound radius of 7.25” to 9” and is rift-sawn maple, with a 1950 Blackguard profile, one of the best. A Hand-Wound 50-51 Blackguard single-coil bridge pickup and a Hand-Wound ’50-’51 Blackguard in the neck, the 51 modded Nocaster wiring, the beauty is ready to roar, really, because it screams. The modified ’51 Nocaster circuit is unique: instead of the tone pot, there is a Blender, and for the Rhythm circuit position, a capacitor has been added to soften the tone. A wonder.

Delivered with its Custom Shop center pocket tweed hardcase, certificate and goodies, and separate Fat 50’s electronics. This guitar is a fantastic instrument !!
