Information:

We had a lot of D2H with rosewood back and sides, but this gem is the first D2H we got with a Torrefied Sitka top, and Oulah…Or Waouhhh!!! and so many other onomatopoeia justify the wonder at the sight and listening to this splendid bomb!! This Collings D2H Torrefied Top offers a welcome revival in the select world of quality Dreadnoughts, and both the craftsmanship and tone of the instrument far exceed Martin benchmarks.

It’s been over 90 years since Martin developed the famous D shape, and Collings gives thanks by producing their version, with unprecedented quality and playing comfort. The articulation of the notes of this D2H is impressive, and suggests that this guitar is already formed as the balance is good. The spruce top is a thing of beauty and the Torrefied Top option is a must in this brand. The Indian rosewood veins of the sides and back are very regular, with a perfect grain. The cut is excellent, and this is reflected in the timbre of this exceptional guitar. This guitar comes with a neck width of 1 11/16 inches giving absolutely fabulous holding comfort, and the option of Adirondack bracing.

Mounted with the best mechanics in the world, the Waverly, this superb guitar is one of the best D available on the market thanks to this option of roasting the spruce top, which gives more lightness to the wood, and further develops the timbre and the acoustic properties of this guitar. Although new, it is not stiff like an unplayed guitar and will give the impression of having already developed its potential. Guitar from 2022 received at the end of November 2022 and delivered with original case.
