Alright, here’s the other big reference at Gretsch—both for the instrument itself and the Master Builder behind it. This 2022 White Falcon Custom Shop Masterbuilt is an absolute stunner, based on the iconic 1955 model beloved by Stephen Stills (though he always went Bigsby). Straight out of the collection of a serious player and Gretsch fanatic (well, of course), this beauty—officially the Gretsch White Falcon G6136CS 2022 Masterbuilt by Chad Henrichsen—deserves a little background. The Fender Custom Shop, born in ’87 in Corona, California, was already world-renowned. Among the handful of master builders back in the day, only Chris Fleming and Stephen Stern really had deep hollow-body chops. Then came Chad Henrichsen—he joined Fender’s Custom Shop in 2008, moved over to Gretsch’s in 2013, and when Stern stepped down in 2023, Henrichsen became the go-to Master Builder for Gretsch.

And the guitar we’ve got here? Another absolute showstopper: this Gretsch G6136 CS White Falcon 2022 Masterbuilt by Henrichsen is one-of-a-kind. Sleek appointments, killer looks, pure craftsmanship and insane playability. Honestly, it leaves any production model in the dust—you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it. It’s resonant, full of acoustic depth, and when plugged in it delivers that unmistakable Gretsch chime.

Looks? Oh, she’s gorgeous. Glossy finish, flawless neck, perfect frets and fingerboard, hardware almost untouched. Sure, maybe a whisper of playwear here and there, but it’s barely noticeable. The Dynasonic pickups sound absolutely killer, classic Gretsch with all the tonal shades you’d expect from the switches and the rock-solid trapeze tailpiece. Add in the SYNCHRO-SONIC™ bridge and you’re basically back in the 1950s.

This guitar is a bomb—blows Japanese production models right out of the water, insanely comfortable to play, and with that look? Yeah, you’ll end up on the cover of every rock or fashion magazine out there.

This rare gem comes with its leatherette tolex hardshell case, hangtags, and COA signed by Chad Henrichsen.
