The Gibson Custom Shop located in Memphis released in 2012 a superb limited edition in VOS finishes of the famous ES-335 from 1961 owned by the fabulous Joe Bonamassa. This edition, limited to a small batch of 365 instruments, has the specifications of one of the Holy Grails of the famous guitarist, and delivers excellent sound and comfort.

This second hand guitar is in very good to excellent condition in fact. Small and surface playwear, small scratches on the sides of the guitar, a few light pick hits on the top, no damage, cracks or chips, no repairs and above all no playwear on the frets. So this exceptional instrument is truly in superb condition. This beauty is also one of the lightest 335s we have had.

Now you can be heard with tone as rich as Joe’s, his limited run is a chance to have an exquisite and distinct tonal impression of a set of 57′ Classic pickups running through the characteristic wiring harness with the famed ‘bumblebee’ capacitors.  Surrounding the look and feel of Joe’s timeless 51-year-old instrument is the duplicated Vintage Sunburst shading on a spliced Maple veneer top and back with Gibson’s special V.O.S. treatment and hardware ageing. Plus the dimensions of the neck are exactly to Joe’s specifications.
