A gorgeous Vigier Excalibur Special, second-hand, in excellent condition. It’s got a slightly flamed maple neck and a beautiful maple top—flamed, even more flamed… maybe very flamed? Can you even say that? Anyway, this 2005 beauty is in excellent shape, with only one or two tiny dings on the body, a few scratches on the back, and some small mods that make it unique and super interesting.

The pickguard is an original Vigier one, but in SSS, while the guitar was born HSH. So, the pickups were swapped out for a set of Fender Texas Specials from the ’90s. Specs are as follows: figured maple top, alder body, 10/90 neck (that’s 10% carbon, which gives rigidity and warmth thanks to the no-truss-rod design), 3 Fender Texas Special single coils, locking tuners, and the Schaller/Vigier M2000 trem.

These guitars are beasts, both in the studio and on stage, and they absolutely deserve the crazy roster of talented players who used to endorse them (Christophe Godin, Shawn Lane, Ron Thal…). And I say used to, because yep… Vigier shut down production at the start of 2025.
