A very pretty original Stratocaster from the late 70s, with a look worthy of Gilmour’s Black Strat, right? These models were often heavy, we had one weighing 5.2 kilos and another weighing 4.9 kilos. We often see them below these crazy weights, here we are at 4.38 kilos, which is heavy, we agree. But it delivers super comfort and a great sound, and it has so much style, we then forgive it this weight…
This 1979 Standard Stratocaster has original 1977 Fender pickups, with the volume pot solders that have been altered. The pickguard is an original pickguard, with a serial number from the late 70’s but not corresponding to the serial number of the headstock. The finish and hardware are original, with the exception of the strap buttons, and in good condition, and the guitar is in good to very good overall condition. Small dents on the edges, very small chips, scratches and other little scares, especially on the edges, are to be deplored. It also seems that a previous owner tried to make the finish more Relic and rubbed and scratched on the upper armwear of the edge of the body and on the front face above the pickguard… Good output level and excellent sound, this guitar, with its tuners and hardware in perfect condition, is a very nice instrument.
This great looking 1979 original Stratocaster comes with its original hardcase.
