Information:

A Nacho Telecaster with a flamed neck!!?!?? Yes, yes, yes — Leadmusic had the very first one, the only Flamcho ever made back in 2021. Since then, I asked Nacho for a few more examples, because this kind of guitar… how can I put it… what a thrill, and what a beauty!!! So here are the alternatives available to you: Either you buy an original for, oh, let’s say, roughly — are you ready? — CHF 50,000 to 60,000 at the very least… Or you buy a Nacho — the finest and most accurate reproductions of original Blackguards.

By Blackguard we mean Fender solid-body Telecaster-type guitars produced between 1950 and 1954. These Blackguards are the Holy Grail for Telecaster collectors and players. Nacho is the reference in this field, both for high-end guitars and for the definitive publication on early 1950s Fenders, The Blackguard Book. In short: this is pure magic!!

This guitar is custom-made and hand-built by the world-renowned Spanish expert Nacho Baños and his team. He possesses one of the most extensive bodies of knowledge and expertise on Broadcasters, Nocasters, and Telecasters on the planet, and many vintage collectors and enthusiasts consider him the most qualified person to build a Blackguard replica. The details of this ’52 Telecaster copy are extremely precise and faithfully reproduce many of the specifications and peculiarities of original 1950s instruments. But Nacho doesn’t just know the details — he’s also one hell of a luthier!!! This guitar is feather-light, light and resonant: 3.12 kg. I wouldn’t be surprised if this turned out to be the best Telecaster-style guitar you’ve ever played. Many Tele masters such as Redd Volkaert, Bill Hullett, or Julian Lage play Nacho instruments.

Most importantly, Nacho Guitars builds only one to two batches of 15 to 20 guitars per year, and the specifications are often fixed. These are rare instruments and, obviously, seldom available on the market. For this stunning guitar, we requested a neck with an early- to mid-1950s–style medium C profile, and of course the early ’50s Spanish solid-body guitar “Blackguard” style. But above all, we asked for a figured maple neck — absolutely gorgeous. The relic work is a light aging, and the fingerboard radius is modern at 9.5″, which is actually a radius Fender already offered on their Broadcasters in 1950.

This beast is delivered in a modern Fender-style tweed case, with a certificate of authenticity, Nacho photos, an ashtray bridge cover, and a cool custom leather pouch for all the documents.
