Oh, what a beauty. It’s extremely rare to see one of these in Europe—these ESP instruments are built by the famous ESP Technical House in Tokyo, made only to order and exclusively for Japan. This Forest GT Custom features an alder body with a maple neck and ebony fingerboard, and it looks absolutely insane thanks to its highly figured maple top with wide, bold patterns.
The neck is a dream—quite substantial in the hand with its D profile, not thin like an Ibanez, far more comfortable. And since this beast is equipped with a Floyd and EMG pickups, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to say that this instrument isn’t exactly meant for playing Blues, even if today’s TikTokers seem to ignore conventions. Go on, treat yourself and honor the memory of Jimmy Cliff with this axe — it’ll work!!
The overall condition is very good, with small scattered marks, no major dings or damage, frets in perfect shape, tall and polished, and no rust or corrosion anywhere. In short, this guitar is a little marvel of comfort: low action, tall perfect frets, excellent condition, and hardware that is flawless and holds tuning perfectly thanks to the Floyd. This is top-of-the-line work from ESP’s former Japanese Technical House workshops, at a price far below current ESP production — because yes, a modern Forest GT costs between 7500 and 8500 CHF depending on the maple top, and it’s clear ESP would love to still have maple of this quality for their recent models. What a top!
Instrument made by the ESP Custom Shop in excellent condition, with a few light scratches and tiny dings on the body and edges, very minor, plus some playwear on the Floyd. Extremely rare to find unique ESP pieces in Europe. Comes with the original ESP flight-case-style hard case.
