Where to start with such an instrument, slightly intimidating, you will agree, but absolutely mind-blowing, both in terms of the sounds and sonic possibilities and, obviously, in terms of its provenance and its history. Because this Sho-Bud 6155C ordered by Steve Howe of the super band YES and made on request by Paul Franklin Sr. in the Sho-Bud workshops between October and November 1974 is a marvel and a unique instrument, which was the property of Steve Howe until ‘that the latter gave it to his friend Paul Sutin, based in Geneva, and owner of the Sutin Production and Dinemec studios. This absolutely unique instrument subsequently participated as well in numerous musical creations and recordings in Geneva.

This superb and unique instrument therefore belonged to Steve Howe then to Paul Sutin, owner of the Dinemec and Paul Sutin Production studios, and comes with a certificate signed by Steve Howe. Steve Howe has collaborated and recorded with Paul Sutin, owner of Dinemec Studios and Paul Sutin Production, on numerous projects and several albums, and during one of his visits to the Dinemec studio, Steve Howe gave Paul his Pedal Steel Sho-Bud Custom Made which he had owned since 1974 and which comes with a certificate signed by Steve Howe. This Pedal Steel was recorded by Steve Howe for the song “To Be Over” on the album Relayer, released in November 1974, which also marks the first collaboration with the Swiss musician Patrick Moraz and the beginning of interest and travel for Steve Howe in Switzerland. Subsequently on Steve Howe’s solo albums, on the tracks “Cactus Boogie”, “All’s a Chord” and “Look Over Your Shoulder” appearing on the album “The Steve Howe Album” in 1979
