Ok, we are right-handed, but we know how to appreciate and feel if a left-handed guitar is good or not, and clearly the wonderful world of left-handed guitarists is not as wonderful as the world of right-handers, but as such beasts of Custom Shop are showing up in the store, we’re like crazy. This Jazzmaster 1962 in 3 Tone Sunburst and Journeyman Relic finish is a fabulous instrument, produced only on custom order. The body is made of alder (2 pieces) which is light and resonant. Besides the classic sunburst finish, the interest of this instrument lies in the fact that it is Lefthand, and the small number of left-handed instruments in the Custom Shop makes this baby very desirable. The neck’s maple is cut in Quartersawn and has a 1962 “Jazzmaster” profile which is a real marvel in the hand. The flat-lam fingerboard has a 10′ radius and is made of rosewood with the AAA option. Medium Jumbo frets, nitro varnish, and Journeyman Relic finish complete this fabulously curved neck. A gem of comfort.
The electronics of this guitar are also great, with Hand-Wound Jazzmaster flat-Mag single-coil pickups, mounted on a Tortoise pickguard. The standard in terms of switches with the 3 positions and the typical vintage Rythm Circuit, which is not to displease. Vintage type hardware with Kluson tuners, Jazzmaster type bridge.
This second hand guitar is in excellent shape and it’s impossible to tell the original relic job from flaws and playwear that occured the past 7 years. Frets are in good condition with minimal fretwear and tiny little grooves under the 3 top strings on a few frets.
Delivered with its certificate of origin and the shop floor traveler document, all in its Brown Tolex type box
