This is a magnificent guitar, with one of the most fabulous necks I have received in a while!!! An evolution of the original Ancho Poblano recipe – a trio of hand-wound Ancho Poblano single-coil Strat pickups, a chunky neck and Vintage Modified #2 wiring – the Limited Edition Ancho Poblano Strat Relic turns up the heat up to 11 because obviously the neck has the most effect on the sound of a guitar after the pickups; a fat neck equals more tone !! Fender took that to heart when creating the limited-edition Roasted Ancho Poblano Strat Relic, giving it a fat neck-shaped profile. “‘U” and a Quartersawn Maple neck.
The select alder body wears a Journeyman lacquer finish that allows the body to “breathe” with enhanced tonal resonance while giving this Strat the look and feel of a beloved, often-played companion. The 9.5-inch-radius maple fingerboard accommodates 21 jumbo frets for a satisfyingly comfortable feel that hits inspiringly. Other features include a RWRP middle pickup, 5-way switching, vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge and tuners, 3-ply black pickguard, bone nut, and no tremolo backplate. Includes deluxe hard case, strap and certificate of authenticity.
