Oh, what a blast! The Horizon Strat designs are killer guitars and offer comfort and playability. A super-fast and comfortable instrument, perfect for solo playing and metal. The super-fast, full-body neck with fantastic access to the treble, the low action, and the guitar’s lightness create a rare and perfect feeling of comfort. Okay, we’re listing the E-II under the ESP brand, simply because it’s the Japanese luthiers at ESP who have been building the Japanese E-II series for over 12 years. Nothing changes from the old Japanese ESP productions except the name and the territorial allocation of the E-II series, because the E-IIs are indeed reserved for export, meaning the USA, Europe, and the rest of the world, but are not available for the Japanese market… A feint to satisfy the need for exclusivity of our Japanese friends…
So this splendid 2017 E-II Horizon NT is made in Japan, like previous ESP models, and offers jaw-dropping quality, featuring a solid mahogany body with a superb figured solid maple top, a 3-piece maple neck-through-body, an ebony fingerboard, and Seymour Duncan SH6 pickups at the bridge and neck. A fixed bridge and Gotoh tuners complete this beauty. This instrument originally came with EMGs but has been upgraded to passive Seymour pickups.
And of course, the playability, comfort, and ergonomics of this beauty make it a blast for shredding and modern sounds. A fantastic series offered here by ESP and manufactured in Japan, this guitar is in splendid condition, with the only flaws being tiny scattered play marks and a barely visible tiny dent on the upper edge. The frets are in like-new condition. This beauty comes with its original case.
