The Expert series sends shivers down Fender’s spine, and quite frankly buries their Stratocasters – with all due respect to those sacred monsters of the electric guitar. On paper, the concept looks like a Fender clone: alder body, bolt-on maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, and a 3 single-coil setup. Leadmusic was Vigier’s official distributor from 2003 to 2013, and we’re proud to have bought out the entire Swiss Vigier stock in 2025. The brand is no longer producing, and that’s a crying shame, because these guitars are absolute bombs – and this one is simply to die for…

This Vigier Expert Retro 54 is brand new, straight from the Swiss Vigier stock. Super comfortable, perfectly ergonomic, and above all, it sounds killer!!! The alder body is lightweight with the classic contours of the famous American brand, the bolt-on maple neck comes with a rosewood fingerboard, and thanks to its 22 medium stainless frets and 11.81’’ radius, the playability is insane: shredding has never been this easy, smooth, and fun… The 25.6’’ scale length brings Fender to mind, but the comparison stops there – Vigier’s GV is way ahead in comfort and delivers a fat, cutting, precise tone. The German-made hand-wound Amber pickups are huge: wide, never muddy or greasy, and the tonal palette covers a massive musical range. In short: a stunning guitar.
