The Newporter Classic Acoustic-Electric Guitar from Fender has a bold look along with big volume and playability. The Newporter Classic features a solid spruce top with solid mahogany back and sides for full, rich tone that spans the high, mid, and low ranges. In addition, a two-tone painted top gives the Classic a stage-ready visual appeal that will captivate both you and your audience! A mahogany neck with pau ferro fingerboard offers incredible playability and response, ideal for any style from finger-picking to robust strumming. And when you are ready to plug in, a custom-voiced, Fishman-designed pickup/preamp system kicks out sweet amplified acoustic tone.
The Newporter Classic has been decked out with fine appointments that add to its tone and visual appeal. To begin, an aged white binding adds a beautiful complement to the woods and body color on this awesome instrument. A beautiful koa rosette around the soundhole is an added visual delight. In addition, scalloped X-bracing adds stellar resonance support, while a genuine pau ferro modern Viking bridge and genuine bone nut enhance the resonance of this fine acoustic as well.
The Fishman-designed pickup/preamp system in the Newporter Classic comes complete with an easy-to-read, digital tuner that makes on-stage tuning super easy. This system also includes frequency (bass, middle, and treble) and phase controls that have been voiced specifically for the Classic.
