This limited-edition ’63 Strat from Fender’s Custom Shop features Hand-Wound Texas Special™ Strat® Pickups. Some of the hallmarks of this transitional period have been adhered to, such as wide 12th fret dot inlay spacing, specific pickguard screw spacing, a laminated (super dark on ours) rosewood fingerboard, and the Clay Dots. The two-piece alder body is coated in a Relic® nitro varnish finish, while the quartersawn cut roasted maple neck features a 63 C shape. The Lam Rosewood fingerboard has a 9.5-inch fingerboard radius and 21 medium vintage frets. Modified vintage wiring #2 with treble bleed to reduce volume without losing treble.
