Superb instrument and top in Figured Claro Walnut. So yes, the woods are one thing, but there is obviously all the work of the lutherie and the merit goes of course to Rob Elrick, who gratifies us with this instrument with an incredible bass, both in design and in comfort and certainly in beauty.

This Gold Series bass with e-volution design has a lightweight maple body with perfect bevel and cutout. To talk about the maple body, when we say light, we’re not lying, it’s really a lightweight instrument, so this 6-string weighs just over 4 kilos. But this superb bass with a spectacular Figured Claro Walnut top, has a ton of options, namely the lightly figured maple neck and Macassar ebony fingerboard, glow in the dark dots inlays, a 33-inch scale length and above all a semi-hollow body, giving resonance, attack and lightness. The electronics are equipped with Aero single coil pickups and are passive with a vol/vol/tone w/switch (a kill switch) and PU selector configuration and the medium profile frets offer amazing playing comfort. In short, this is obviously a lot of dithyrambic qualifiers and superlatives, but we assure you that it is justified…

The Gold series offers mind-blowing instruments recognizable by their Gold logo and their bolt-on neck of course. But the Heel-Less principle designed by Elrick offers absolutely unique access to the treble. The chamfer is cut so that the asymmetrically screwed neck is accessible up to the 24th fret. You play on the neck, all the way, without bumping into the neck support heel… Ingenious and so comfortable.

This superb bass from 2019 was delivered in early 2020 and kept in a very nice collection of basses for just less than 3 years. It was gently played and shows almost no playwear with the exception of 2 light scratches on the top and 2 small dents on the back. It’s basically in near mint condition and comes with its original Elrick ABS hard case.
