The XP8-PS is a package containing the 1 Spot Pro XP8, along with a 12Vdc 4A adapter which allows you to power the XP8 without having a CS11. The adapter comes with an array of international plugs, so you can take it with your pedalboard anywhere in the world. Some musicians may even choose to get one of these, plus another XP5, to distribute their power around the pedalboard and have the dual XP’s acting as two pedal risers.

The 1 Spot Pro XP5-PS is a tiny little powerhouse which allows you to have 5 isolated outputs. Each output provides 9Vdc of studio-clean power and can handle at least 500mA of current draw per output. Measuring 88x88x30mm (3.46×3.46×1.18”) and weighing only 333 grams (11.75oz), it can be easily attached to a pedalboard using only Vel-Cro. Because of its low profile, the XP5-PS can be mounted under most pedalboards or be used as a pedal riser on top of a board. With 2 linked input jacks, you can power a second XP5 or XP8 by simply connecting a DC cable.

1 SPOT Technology…  Truetone took the same triple filtered switching power supply technology found in their famous 1 SPOT and scaled it up to make the 1 SPOT Pro models. With much more space to work with, Truetone were able to completely eliminate noise, provide total electrical isolation between outputs, create multiple voltages, and still give you the ability to use it anywhere in the world.

A major benefit of using a switching power supply is that it can handle far more current (power being pulled out of it) than any transformer-based power supply. Although Truetone had to put power rating labels on each output to satisfy certification agencies (yes, we actually certified these, unlike many companies), the outputs can generally handle far more than the label shows.
