The EL34 power tubes deliver a more dynamic compression and saturation, evoking a more modern “British” tone while retaining the sustain and versatility expected from EVH 5150III amps. Channel one offers a more open and compressed clean tone, while channels two and three provide a slightly darker and more compressed voice with even more gain than before. Channels one and two each feature concentric dual gain/volume controls with shared EQ (Bass, Middle, Treble), while channel three has its own independent EQ section. Additional features include a rear-panel resonance control that fine-tunes the low-frequency response across all channels, along with a global presence control.

The amp is also equipped with seven JJ ECC83 preamp tubes, a pair of EL34 power tubes and switchable output impedance (4, 8 and 16 ohms). All BIAS controls are accessible from outside the chassis, making the little beast incredibly practical on tour should you ever blow a tube.

And when it comes to the cab, this super high-quality 2×12” cabinet delivers an absolutely insane sound for a ridiculously tiny price, awesome… Yes, I really used the word “tiny” in a product description, but don’t get the wrong idea: it definitely does not apply to the sound of this thing, because sonically, this 212 absolutely crushes. Loaded with 2×12” Celestion Heritage30 speakers, the little monster’s 60 watts, mounted on casters, hit unbelievably hard. Henriksen Amplifiers puts tone first, and the incredibly portable size and features of the Bud were developed around the sound, not the other way around, and you can clearly hear the difference. Our preamp, from input to output, is designed with high quality audio components. We offer a five band equalizer with carefully chosen center frequencies that were tuned by ear to meet the demands of different playing environments using the widest possible range of musical instruments. We provide two identical preamps, each with independent equalization and reverb as well as true forty eight volt phantom power and an auxiliary input on each channel so that whatever you are using can be equalized separately from your instrument signal.

Over the years, the amp has undergone a few modifications and repairs. It is now fitted with two Vox-labeled Celestion Ceramic G12H 30W speakers from 1967, and several capacitors have been replaced, with date codes ranging from 1966 to 1984. The tolex covering appears to date from the 1970s. Full details of the 2025 servicing work are available. A “B” marking inside the chassis, along with its five preamp tubes, grey control panel (rather than copper), and serial number in the 7000 range, all indicate that this is indeed a 1965 AC30 B (Bass version).

The amp comes with a certificate signed by Paul Sutin confirming its provenance. A true collector’s piece, rich in character, history, and tone that still resonates today.

Through the “PURE” switch you can exclude filters and equalizer and have a completely flat sound to be combined if necessary with an external equalizer, a very useful function when using different instruments in a concert. The 24-LED V Meter in 6 different modes (can also be excluded if necessary) also associates an extremely precise tuner mode, always active in “Mute” mode or activated during normal use, choosing it from the six available LED modes. The Aux-In allows you to connect an external sound source (Tablet, Smartphone) and the headphone output with separate volume control, it also allows an independent monitoring system. The D.I. of the GR ONE, recognized as one of the best, is perfect for use in professional contexts both live and in the studio.

At the heart of the PowerValve 200 lies the VRC (Valve React Circuit), which activates an EF91 (CV4014) valve. This feature instantly enriches your sound with greater warmth, depth, harmonic richness and touch sensitivity. While this valve circuit is our recommended mode of operation, it can also be bypassed via the front-panel switch for players who prefer a more linear, transistor-based signal path.

The front panel offers a straightforward 3-band EQ (Resonance, Body, Presence) for precise tone shaping. The detented controls allow quick return to the neutral position — when set halfway, the EQ is effectively bypassed.

A balanced input ensures the balanced output of your modeller can be fully utilized. An input level control combined with an LED indicator provides precise monitoring and optimal signal management.

The main speaker output supports 4Ω (200W), 8Ω (100W), and 16Ω (50W) cabinets. The unit also features a dedicated 3.5mm headphone output and an analogue Cab Sim via XLR, making it perfect for recording or sending directly to a mixing desk. The Cab Sim can be switched on or off from the front panel, and the headphone level can be adjusted independently from the main output.

Extensive testing was carried out using a range of modellers paired with several speaker cabinets from our own catalogue. We then compared the results against leading FRFR cabinets. In 2024, Victory released Martin Kidd’s ultimate guitar amplifier: the MK Overdrive (MK OD), an amp inspired by some of Martin’s most famous and best-loved original amplifier tones from the past three decades. It covers every clean tone you could want: a bright, shimmering clean sound with its own EQ, gain, and level controls. Ideal for funk, articulate chord work, jazz, and much more… At higher gain settings, you’ll achieve classic edge-of-breakup tones. With separate Clean and Overdrive channels, the overdrive channel offers two gain modes: Gain 1 for crunch and rhythm sounds, and Gain 2 for rich, fully saturated overdrive.

Expect solos with instant sustain and the heaviest riffs without sacrificing tone or definition—standard tuning, drop tuning, or anything else you care to throw at it. The OD2 channel has its own gain control and shares the EQ section and level control with the OD1 channel. The MKX is fitted with 3 ECC83 preamp valves and 2 EL34 power valves. We knew that one type of reverb wouldn’t be enough for our new flagship model, so we included two. Reverb I is a vintage-style spring reverb, perfect for authentic tones. Reverb II is a modern reverb inspired by the Deputy, ranging from subtle ambience to full, shimmering immersion. Each reverb type features level and decay controls, allowing for the ultimate balance of ambience and versatility. As with all Victory Lunchbox heads, the switchable output allows you to choose between different power levels and character: for the MKX, high output delivers 50 watts RMS, while low output delivers 9 watts RMS.

12 years ago we released the JazzAmp because Bud Henriksen couldn’t find anything on the market that sounded the way he thought a jazz guitar amplifier should sound. A few versions and thousands of very satisfied customers later, we felt it was time to apply 12 years worth of experience and understanding and re-imagine a new JazzAmp for the next decade.
