The name change to “O” in the late 1980s left no doubt about Lowden’s desire to clarify what already seemed logical at the time: O simply stands for Original Body Shape. This is the brand’s finest design, with bass, perfect balance, and precise dynamics despite the cedar top and the rather large body size. Mahogany back and sides, superb cutaway, Sitka spruce top, ebony fingerboard, and all bindings are made of wood. In short, the build quality is flawless. The condition of this guitar is very good considering its age: few marks, very few dents (and very minor ones), no cracks or damage. The frets are in excellent condition, with very minor play marks on some, but nothing serious.
